SSFC Technical training

Coach Diego and his staff will help our local players with skill development with one hour sessions broken up by age group. These are happening on Friday nights throughout Spring 2024 and available only to current SSFC members. Information for this was sent to all SSFC families via email/teamsnap on Thursday, March 14th. Please refer to that email for more information. 

Coach Diego is leading a series of Friday evening Technical Trainings over Spring 2024, starting on Friday, March 29th and running through Friday, May 17th. Registration is available to current SSFC players and information for these classes was emailed to all SSFC members from teamsnap on Thursday,  March 14th. Classes are pro-rated if you want to add late. 

Coach Diego was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina where he played for Racing Youth Academy. He moved to Utah and played club soccer and was then invited to play for Utah ODP and made the Region IV team which led him to receive his first US Youth National Team Call Up at 14. He then went on to play at the Real Salt Lake Academy where he won a National Championship and received multiple US National Team call ups. After graduating he went on to play at the University of Maryland where he won two Big 10 tournaments and earned a U-20 National Team Call Up. He then went on to join Real Salt Lake’s first team/Real Monarchs for 2 years. After the 2 years he signed a contract a Stumptown Athletic in North Carolina where he began his coaching career. 

Technical training are one-hour sessions where your player gets lots of technical touches on the ball, with the emphasis on correct technique and form when dribbling, passing, shooting, etc. These sessions are designed to give the player more confidence with the ball in all aspects of the game.
