JP is a retired Battalion Chief/Firefighter from a large fire department in California and lifelong soccer player and coach. After retiring early due to a battle with Brain Cancer, JP hasn't lost his enthusiasm for serving the public.
Instead, upon arriving here to Saratoga Springs with his wife and four children (ages 13 through 18), he is now putting his public service passion into creating this non-profit and network of soccer families here on the west side of Utah Lake. He is founding this club upon the core values of character, respect, teamwork and dedication. These values will be woven into the soccer learning environment here at SSFC.
JP had a decorated high-school career in CA and played one year of college soccer before a knee injury finished his "official" playing days. But he continued his coaching career in coaching/training both boys and girls in various competitive clubs at different age groups over 15+ years.
JP has nearly two decades of education and leadership background, an MBA, and holds a US Soccer National "C" coaching license. He has coached in both the Boys and Girls programs at Westlake High School. He is also fluent in Spanish.
JP spends his "free" time watching/enjoying his three daughters performing in various live arts venues.
